Why do I need a Contractor Safety Pack?

The Contractor Safety Pack has been developed to assist subcontractors working in the construction sector.

The documents within the Safety Pack provides a framework to meet your main work health and safety (WHS) legal responsibilities.

Authorities, clients and principal contractors may require evidence of your WHS plans and systems. If you use the Contractor Safety Pack as directed, you will be able to produce the necessary documents.

We will take away all the hassle and produce a safety plan that is specific for your business. All you have to do is to tell us what you do – We will do the rest.

What you’ll get

1.      Meeting with a qualified consultant to discuss your activities and risks

2.      Based on your activities and risks we will then provide:

  • A safety plan for your business

  • Up to 2 custom made Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) based on your activity

  • Up to 3 generic Safe Work Method Statements (Work from height, mobile plant etc)

  • A “Take 5” risk assessment form – Stop and take 5 to assess the risks when you arrive to residential sites, during maintenance visits etc.

  • A Hazardous chemical register, complete with Safety Data Sheets for any hazardous chemicals you are carrying on site, stored in your vehicle or at your workshop

  • Emergency procedure manual, complete with local emergency contacts

  • Incident reporting procedures and forms

  • Electrical Equipment Register with Test & Tag records

  • Equipment Maintenance Register

  • Worker’s Training Register

3.      Instructions in the use of the documentation

Before handing over, we will take the time to meet with you and walk through the system, ensuring that you are comfortable in how to use it correctly.

 

All document will be completed in MS Word format and provided to you electronically for easy storage on your own computer, enabling you to make amendments at a later time.
